Following the completion of Blue Eyes Behind the Mask, my attention has now turned to another novel I started writing a few years ago; the sequel to Blue Eyes Behind the Mask. Yes, you read that right!
When I first started Blue Eyes Behind the Mask, I had the vision that it would become a trilogy and have already managed to write nearly 50 000 words of the second book. There is still a little way to go before it is completed, but I am really excited to be developing The Blue Eyes Trilogy. As for Blue Eyes Behind the Mask, a good friend of mine is designing the cover and I am very keen to see his work!
Though The Blue Eyes Trilogy is taking priority, I am still continuing to work on my other WIP. Right now, I am at an interesting editing-creating crossroads; you could say I have the best of both worlds!
Keep watching this space for more updates!
I reached an exciting milestone this week; I finally completed the third and final edit of Blue Eyes Behind the Mask. The only step that remains now is the cover design and it will be ready to go!
I first started writing Blue Eyes Behind the Mask around four years ago, whilst I was studying for my A-Levels, so it really has been a labour of love. There are many different reasons why it has taken me a while to get Blue Eyes Behind the Mask to where it is now, but the important thing is that it is ready now.
One of the questions that I was asked after Heartbound was released was "will there be a follow-up?" For Blue Eyes Behind the Mask, the answer will be yes; it is actually the first book in a trilogy, so I have plenty to keep me going!
Keep watching this space!
It's been a fairly productive week this week, in spite of a very hectic day on Thursday. I am starting to plan for the impending release of Blue Eyes Behind the Mask, and learn from the lessons that Heartbound taught me.
My current WIP is still moving along despite my attention to Blue Eyes Behind the Mask. I have added around 1000 words to it, and it is already reaching the halfway point. I am planning for both this and Blue Eyes Behind the Mask to me made into trilogies, so expect a lot of updates!
I am really excited about the future with regards to my novels, and I am eagerly anticipating the moment when Heartbound has some company on my Amazon page.
It has been a patchy week in terms of my writing progress this week. I have found it difficult to get the balance right between novel work and everything else.
This is quite often an issue for authors. Recent articles online have suggested that sometimes you can be too productive, and this could well be the case here. I decided to give myself a break over the weekend, to allow my brain to recharge. Hopefully this will help keep Blue Eyes Behind the Mask moving along.
Blue Eyes Behind the Mask only has around seventy pages left to edit, so I am hopeful that I can pick this up again next week, along with my WIP.
Fingers crossed for a better week next week.
