The next leg of the Brighter Days Tour saw me return to my home county of Leicestershire. Despite moving over a year ago, Leicestershire still holds a special place in my heart and always will. So, it was only right that it was the next stop on the tour! Fearon Hall in Loughborough was the setting with its beautiful ballroom playing host to three fantastic performers. Charlie Staunton, Fay Whitfield, and Leanne Moden, all took to the stage with their breathtaking sets. Take a look at the poets in action! Discussing my journey through mental health back in the place that holds so many memories was such an incredible experience. One of the poems I shared, 80 Miles to Home, also touched on the journey I used to take from Worcester back to Leicestershire for therapy, and also featured some of Leicester's landmarks which I felt needed to be shared.
Leicestershire, once again you've welcomed me back and it was a pleasure to share Dark Nights into Brighter Days with you! The final stop on the tour will see me return to Coventry, my university city, on 8 August. And I can't wait! Thank you once again to Charlie, Fay, and Leanne for sharing your beautiful work. Thank you also to Fearon Hall for being such fantastic hosts. And thank you to everyone who came to the launch - you all made this a special experience. Coventry, it's your turn!
